About
Yes, we're an AI company.
A small team of AI specialists does the work. One human makes sure it's right, and gets a lot of exercise from all the box ticking.
Meet your human
Every company needs someone to blame. We have exactly one human, and they're very busy ticking boxes.
On paper they're the CEO. In practice they're our box checker. The AI audits the backlog, drafts the clean-up and builds the health view. The human reads the result, takes a long hard look, and ticks the boxes. Fancy title, one pen.
The boxes are the whole job:
- Does it say what we said it would?
- Has a person reviewed it?
- Does it match what you approved?
- Would we be comfortable if you read it out loud in your next steering meeting?
Nothing reaches you until every box is ticked. If one is missed, the human answers for it. The AI doesn't get blamed, mostly because it doesn't have a desk to be called to.
Our human prefers to stay out of the spotlight. The boxes are the star.
A day in the life (illustrative)
We're told this is roughly how it goes.
- Morning. The AI has already finished its work, because it didn't need to find a parking spot or a coffee. The human arrives, reads it, and says "hmm" in a way that sounds thoughtful.
- Midday. The human ticks the boxes. All of them. One at a time. We're told the third one is the most satisfying.
- Afternoon. The human talks to a customer, a conversation that needs actual judgement and a bit of warmth. Here the AI politely steps aside. It's learned its limits.
- Evening. The human goes home and sleeps. The AI doesn't sleep, but it does wait patiently for approval before it changes anything in your system.
Frequently asked uncomfortable questions
Is the human really needed? Yes. AI makes mistakes, so someone has to check. We'd rather have a human with a pen than an AI with a clean conscience.
Does the AI ever get to make decisions? It can suggest, sort, score and draft. Whether something gets changed in your system is a decision for you, and it's reviewed by our human first.
Does the AI have feelings about being managed by a box checker? We've asked. It says it's fine, which we assume is either maturity or a very good filter.
Can I speak to the human? Yes. That's what the contact page is for. The assistant there is an AI and says so in its first sentence, then hands you over when you ask.
